JUNTOS -- Building better relationships with our neighbors

What are the issues that keep young people from Española, Los Alamos and Pojoaque separate? What can young people do to overcome this separation? JUNTOS (Joining & Understanding Now, Teens Overcome Separation) is a new youth leadership effort that is attempting to address these questions.  Not only teen leaders, but adult leaders from all three communities have been meeting regularly since April 16, 2007 to promote authentic dialogue aimed at eliminating the divide that has persisted for decades between these three geographically close communities. The young people are providing the ideas for bridging the gaps with activities, education, history, art, music, dance, etc., while the adults are finding funding sources and providing guidance and coaching.

JUNTOS, which also means "together, a union or relationship" in Spanish, is constantly developing and welcomes any young people and adults who are interested in joining this challenging and rewarding process.
