Positive Behavior Support

A Los Alamos Public Schools program that provides a format, protocols, and process for schools and staff to recognize and reward positive behavior. PBS works to discourage unwanted behavior by implementing a consistent, district-wide program of behavior expectations and the language to describe both expectations for and consequences of behavior. All behavior is described under one of the three umbrellas of Safe, Responsible, or Respectful. The language is direct, simple, concrete, and easily adjusted to all age groups from kindergarteners to high school seniors.
