This program provides early identification, assessment, and intervention for at-risk youth. Youth identified by the high school truancy intervention liason as having more than five unexcused absenses are referred to additional programming and services. Once referred, participants will meet with the Youth Resource Advocate and a therapist to complete a behavioral assement (to include stress, depression, substance abuse, and life skills). A summary of recommendations will be generated and a conference will be scheduled to discuss a comprehensive follow-up service plan with the referred youth and parent / guardian. The service plan will address both the needs of the family and the youth, as well as a post 90-day program follow-up.
