Resource Specialist

The Resource Specialist (RS) will provide case management and community resource services to middle and high school youth and their families. The RS will case manage a minimum of 60 youth throughout the year, identify at-risk youth and families, administer assessments, provide referrals for appropriate services, develop coordinated service plans, provide follow up, and engage in community outreach and program development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field required; Master’s degree in Social Work preferred
• 2 – 3 years of knowledge and experience in Social Work, Case Management, or a related field
• Experience working with middle and high school youth and their families
• Previous experience working within a school system is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills to work with youth, family members, school staff, providers, and other professionals
• Strong organizational, record-keeping, and communication skills
• Experience working with vulnerable/underserved populations; bilingual Spanish/English a plus
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to exercise a high level of confidentially
• Possible evening and weekend hours, flexible scheduling
• Multiple background checks are required
• Physical requirements include working in an office/community environment, regular local travel with reliable transportation

Los Alamos JJAB is a non-profit organization that has served youth and their families, in Los Alamos County, since 2004 and currently manages/funds over 15 youth-focused programs.
