Tara Adams, BSW
Tara joined JJAB in August 2019 after completing a one-year college internship with our organization, building on her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Western New Mexico University. Tara works primarily with elementary aged children and their families and has a deep commitment to working with families that have experienced serious adversity and are dealing with intersecting issues. Tara is well versed in trauma-informed practice, parent coaching, and advocacy, and is especially skilled in exploring new resources and systems. Tara’s biggest hobby is gardening; her backyard is a Certified Wildlife Habitat!
Christine Martinez, BSW
Christine has been working with high school youth at JJAB since August of 2017, and in the past 3+ years has shown her deep commitment to enthusiastic and compassionate support for her clients and their families. Christine has a Bachelor of Social Work degree from New Mexico State University and is a certified One Circle Facilitator. Christine loves roller skating and is part of a roller derby team.
Coralie is JJAB’s newest Resource Specialist, starting with the team in December of 2020. Coralie works with middle and high school youth and finds purpose in helping her clients realize their gifts and value in the world so that they can grow to be the best versions of themselves. Coralie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Community Services and a graduate certificate in Multicultural Knowledge of Mental Health Practices. Coralie grew up in Wisconsin, where she developed a great love of fishing! She fished every species in the lakes and rivers of Wisconsin and has done some river fishing here in New Mexico.
Rachel Mohr-Richards, Lead Resource Specialist
Rachel oversees the Resource Specialist program in addition to working with elementary and middle school youth and their families. She joined JJAB in February 2020 and has a Bachelor of Psychology and Child Development degree with a minor in Family Studies. Rachel’s expertise includes case management and organizational development. She feels most successful when she can help families address barriers in creative and innovative ways. Rachel enjoys travel (she went on her first international trip to England in 2017), Pilates, and Tiramisu!
Santina Shije, LMSW
Santina, a member of the San Ildefonso Pueblo, started with
JJAB in May of 2015 and works primarily with middle school youth. Santina
greatly enjoys getting to help youth navigate what can be a tumultuous stage of
life. Santina is a licensed Master of Social Work and a certified One Circle
Facilitator. Santina is passionate about working with youth and their families
regarding mental health struggles, helping her clients to create healthy coping
strategies that lead to positive outcomes. Santina’s hobbies include shopping
and exercising with her kids.
